The Historic Triangle PAD program is a community-wide effort to save lives by increasing community awareness of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a leading cause of death in the United States, and by making defibrillation accessible to SCA victims within 3-minutes of collapse.

We welcome you to this website which highlights the many successes of the Historic Triangle Public Access to Defibrillation program. Our program is the result of several local civic, non-profit and governmental organizations with a vision to make our community a safer place to live, work and play.

With $500,000 in grant funds from Williamsburg Community Health Foundation, we have begun a major campaign to identify and install AEDs throughout the community for designated trained responders to use in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest event. By strategically placing these units throughout the community,  trained citizen rescuers can greatly increase the chance of survival. The few minutes saved by those able to use this equipment can literally mean the difference between life and death.
